3 Simple Steps To A Building A Profitable Site Build It Site
What if you discovered an easy, simply way to make sure your Site Build It website was profitable, starting today?
Here are 3 simple steps you can start using today…
Step 1 – Start by building your basic site structure
Step 2 – Research Buying keywords for products and services in your niche, and write focused product reviews
Step 3 – Use your favorite paid traffic source to test whether the keywords you have chosen convert into sales, before you take the time to do too much SEO on your review pages
Here are the details you’ll need to test your site concept quickly, rather than just building content and waiting to see what happens…
Step 1 – Decide on your website’s theme as discussed in the Action Guide, making sure you choose a topic that interests you and a relatively large number of other people. Look for a sub-niche that you can dominate over time if possible. Build your home page and a number of tier two pages around your major sub topics or themes, so your site looks finished when visitors arrive. Include a Privacy Policy and a Website Terms Of Use page, plus a Contact page to make it easy for people to get in touch.
Step 2 – Use the Site Build it Brainstormer or the Google Keyword tool to research ‘buying’ keywords for products related to your niche market. In particular, make sure you look for ‘review’ keywords related to the main products people are selling. People who are ready to buy often look for product reviews to help them make a decision on which one to purchase. Take the time to write impartial, honest reviews of as many products and services as you can find, and add them as tier three pages on your site. Make sure you include a short, keyword focused summary with a strong call to action, a picture of the product and at least two affiliate links to the product’s sales page above the fold of your review page. You want to do this because many people will simply read your summary and click through to the merchant’s website to order.
Step 3 – Use paid search methods such as Google Adwords, Yahoo Search, Ezine Advertising and/or banners to drive targeted visitors to your review pages to see if they convert into sales. Test various elements of your page (headline, offer, call to action, etc.) to see if you can increase conversions. Only after you know that a page converts into sales, should you move on to doing additional Search Engine Optimization.
Your optimization should include writing helpful articles about the various products in your market you are reviewing, submitting them to article directories, and linking to your review pages in your resource box. Another good source of back links is making helpful and intelligent comments on related blog posts and linking to your reviews from your Sig file. It’s also a good idea to spend some time Bookmarking your reviews on Social media sites because these sites have Authority with the search engines and can help you to rank higher over time.
Once you know your reviews work and people are buying some of the products you recommend through your affiliate link, you can outsource most of this SEO work to others while you focus your time on finding additional products to review. Following this strategy really beats spending 6 months to a year of your life building a website that doesn’t reward you for your time. I know because I’ve done that, and it’s not something I recommend you do. It’s always better to know your site has a good chance of being profitable early so you can stop belting your head against a wall and move on to something else if it’s not.
