Efficient Article Marketing

Article Marketing is one of these easiest and cheapest way of getting traffic to your site. Your articles promote your sites by providing back links to them and therefore increasing their page rank. But first you must catch your audience’s attention

One of the most important components of your article is the title. Your Title needs to be able to catch people’s attention and draw them in to read your articles. Also, your title should be unique, so that you can search it in the Web Pages, to see how many times it appears.

When creating your author names, it is important to create your author as an expert in a certain field as opposed to a free lance writer. It you choose to write articles on different topics and categories, I suggest you use different author names for each subject.

Using your own name is an important decision you need to make. How comfortable do you feel? There really isn’t any rules for this. You can be as anonymous as you want.

When creating your articles, there a few things to consider in respect to content. To avoid duplicate content, you can manually write different versions of the same article and submit them manually. Or you can use tools that will generate 100′s of different articles for you and even submit them.

The author box is also an extremely useful area to use to your advantage. You will get the best results if you place two links in your author’s box, one to your homepage, and the other to the page you wish the readers to go to.

Where creating the link text, it’s important to use words that relate to your site. For example, instead of using the words “click here”, you may want to use “Internet marketing” or “dog breeds” whichever keywords that pertain to your site.

One last thing to mention is that you should not expect to get loads of traffic from article marketing if you submit just one article. The key to article marketing is to submit many articles. Perhaps try creating one article per day, or at least 3 – 4 per week until your website is established.

Getting Traffic, My Way

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Being positive is difficult if you’ve been scammed so many times, you don’t want to count. I’ve tried pay per click, I was a little successful, until I changed something, and then I lost my shirt. There are companies out there that will pay more than $10 for one click. I just can’t justify that, sorry.

Some marketers suggest forums. Well, I’ve tried that too. Somehow my little messages and small link back to my site get lost in those thousands upon thousands of pages. It is way too labor intensive and not something I want to spend my day at.

Now, if the heavenly search engines would just rank me number one for my keywords, I would be laying on a beach in hot weather with not a care in my mind. Let’s just hope that is my future. Then I can claim to be one of those gurus. For now I will settle for being where I am, still honest.

Anyways, let’s get back to traffic. As far as I’m concerned, forums are a waste of time and pay per click is a waste of money. Blogging can work, but unless you’ve got a ton of traffic to your blog, it’s kind of a waste of time. Press releases may also work, but what they won’t tell you that most sites actually charge you to put out a press release, or you pay for membership.

Social bookmarking can be effective, but it’s other people who need to bookmark you, so if they don’t get to your site, how can they know you are there?? MySpace or Facebook, again you are only reaching a limited number of people. Sure after you get going it can be a way to boost your traffic, but first we need to get started.

From experience, the fastest, cheapest way of getting good traffic is through article marketing. That’s where you write an article like this and send to it out to various sites. If you write good articles, you can get hundreds and sometimes thousands of visitors per day, in less than one month. Of course it depends on the sites you submit to and how many articles you write.

First you need to write an article or two. Next you need to submit it to a directory. One of the most popular is Ezine Articles. They also tend to have the higher standards. Submit to them first. If they accept it, you know it’s good. Then you can re-submit that article to other directories.

You can get some free submitters that will submit your article to a number of directories. Usually, if it’s free it is some kind of software that runs on your computer. The up side is that it’s free and it can help to automate the submission process which makes less work for you.

Unfortunately, here is the down side. These types of submitters are not supported, they hold static information, and only for about 100-200 sites. Your article will be sent to a general article directory, which doesn’t rank as high as niche directories. Also, each article will be exactly the same. Search engines don’t particularly like that.

Traffic, How To Get It

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Traffic is perhaps one of the most important things you will need to make money on-line. There are other things that need you attention but the truth is no traffic equal no money. Even if you have the worst laid out, ugliest site in the world if you have tons of traffic you will still make money. But if you have a really nice site that looks great, if you don’t have customers, how can you possibly make any money?

OK, I know I’m preaching to the quire. Everyone knows this. The big secret is how do you get it? Well, I guess it depends on how much money or time you have. Or, it can depend on how smart you are. You need to find a balance and something that suits you.

Ok…how much money do you have? You can hire authors to write articles for you, or you can use those pay per click ads. I’m guessing you don’t have money to flush down the drain since you are just starting out and trying to MAKE money on-line.

I highly advise that any beginner not do any type of pay per click ad. You will loose hundreds of dollars before you even realize what happened. There are a few sites out there that claim, someone just starting out made millions using pay per click.

I really want to advise you against believing in such stories. Yes, it is possible, however, for maybe only one in a million. And whatever secrets they seem to be selling you, it will not be whatever got them their millions.

I have been in this industry for well over two years now. Yes, I have been scammed, many times. These guru’s promise you the moon and deliver you a rock. It can get very frustrating. What I suggest is to stick to free methods if you can and learn more about keywords and their importance on your site.

Also, if you do want to try some methods that require payment, remember to check what their money back guarantee is. If they sell through Clickbank, which most do, they must offer you a 60 day money back guarantee. Write down the contact email when you receive the product. If you don’t feel it’s worth the money, request a refund. If they don’t get back to you, contact Clickbank and they will ensure you get a refund.

Mistakes are made to be learned from. Unfortunately, these mistakes did cost me money, but know at least I know what I am doing. I am trying to make a name for myself by being honest and trustworthy, something that is far and few between in this industry. Please don’t trust people blindly, don’t trust me blindly. Ask questions and get some answers.

Article Marketing is one of these easiest and cheapest way of getting traffic to your site. Your articles promote your sites by providing back links to them and therefore increasing their page rank. But first you must catch your audience’s attention

Title is key!! If your title doesn’t catch the reader’s attention, you won’t have any readers. Before you commit to a title, try to make sure it is unique for tracking purposes by first searching for it in the search engines.

When creating your author names, it is important to create your author as an expert in a certain field as opposed to a free lance writer. It you choose to write articles on different topics and categories, I suggest you use different author names for each subject.

Do you really want to use your own name? Many people do…and many people don’t. It’s really a matter of personal preference.

Now let’s get to the content. There has been a lot of talk about duplicate content. There are a few ways to get ahead of this. One way is to write the different articles yourself and manually submit, which could take some time. On the hand there are some tools that you can use to minimize this.

Using the author box effectively can dramatically increase your page rank and visits. Two links should be use, one to your homepage and the other should be a location you want readers to visit. Keep in mind most article sites won’t publish your article if it contains more than two links.

Using keywords for your link text is very important. Search engines associate your site with the text. Try not to use terms such as “click here”.

If you choose to do article marketing, be sure to submit more than just one article. The more links you have coming back to your site, the better. One article per day should be good, however, try to do at least 2 – 4 per week.

Article Marketing That’s Effective

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

You may know by now that Article Marketing is an extremely effective method of getting traffic to your site. Also, the more back links you have from these articles, the higher your page rank. The most difficult part is getting people to read your articles.

One of the most important components of your article is the title. Your Title needs to be able to catch people’s attention and draw them in to read your articles. Also, your title should be unique, so that you can search it in the Web Pages, to see how many times it appears.

Creating an expert author is another important element. It’s like branding the author. People are going to trust an author who writes for twenty different subject. They are more likely to follow someone who “specializes” in the topic they are interested in.

Another question is whether or not to use your own name. There isn’t really a rule. Some people do, some people don’t. It’s really a question on how comfortable you feel using your own name.

Now let’s get to the content. There has been a lot of talk about duplicate content. There are a few ways to get ahead of this. One way is to write the different articles yourself and manually submit, which could take some time. On the hand there are some tools that you can use to minimize this.

The author box is also an extremely useful area to use to your advantage. You will get the best results if you place two links in your author’s box, one to your homepage, and the other to the page you wish the readers to go to.

For your link text, use words that relate to your site. Try to make your links keyword rich and avoid using terms like “click here.” This is important when it comes to search engines.

If you choose to do article marketing, be sure to submit more than just one article. The more links you have coming back to your site, the better. One article per day should be good, however, try to do at least 2 – 4 per week.

Getting Traffic, My Way

Being positive is difficult if you’ve been scammed so many times, you don’t want to count. I’ve tried pay per click, I was a little successful, until I changed something, and then I lost my shirt. There are companies out there that will pay more than $10 for one click. I just can’t justify that, sorry.

Some marketers suggest forums. Well, I’ve tried that too. Somehow my little messages and small link back to my site get lost in those thousands upon thousands of pages. It is way too labor intensive and not something I want to spend my day at.

If god would smile upon me and place me at the top of the search engines, I guess I would have nothing to complain about. Hopefully, I will get there. I’m not a millionaire now, but I know eventually, I will be. It’s just a matter of time.

OK, back to traffic. So since forums are a waste of time and pay per click is a waste of money when then. Well, blogging can work if you already have a ton of traffic to that blog. I hear about press releases, but I can’t be bothered to spend the money. I would rather write an article that doesn’t cost me any money.

Now, let’s look at Facebook and MySpace. Imaging all the traffic you will get from friends and family, NOT. You may get a few, but for the trouble, it’s not worth it. What about social bookmarking you say. Well, if you can figure it out, let me know. I do believe it’s thousands of others who bookmark you that makes you popular, how can than happen if you don’t have the first thousand?

From experience, the fastest, cheapest way of getting good traffic is through article marketing. That’s where you write an article like this and send to it out to various sites. If you write good articles, you can get hundreds and sometimes thousands of visitors per day, in less than one month. Of course it depends on the sites you submit to and how many articles you write.

Ezine articles are perhaps one of the most popular sites for submitting articles to and also have some of the highest standards. What I suggest is writing your articles submitting it there. If it gets approved, you can submit it to other sites.

There are some free article submitters available. Usually, these free submitters is a kind of software that will run on your computer. This can make the process much faster and well, it’s free.

The down side, usually only submits to about 100 sites, which are all article directories, that have no specific topic. These sites tend not to rank high since they cover such a broad array of categories. Plus, you will have the same article circulating on all these sites, Google is not a big fan of that.
